Easter!

We had a pretty laid back Easter this year. Grant had been really sick leading up until Easter and he was still not back to his normal happy self. For the last two decades, my parents have hosted a big competitive Easter Egg hunt for their kids and we have had a lot of fun in the last few years including spouses into that mix! This year, we were sad to find out that no one would be coming home for the Egg hunt and so it didn't happen. Hopefully next year will be the revival of the adults round and Grant will likely be running around next year to find some eggs of his own! Instead, we played and watched conference. Grant was given a pretty sweet Easter basket filled with all of the things he loves and needs (pickles, teething toys, baby lotion, socks, bibs, etc!) and had more fun opening it and then playing with the basket later. Thanks Grandma!
On Sunday while we were watching General Conference, Kyle and I dyed eggs and did our best to keep Grant from destroying them while we were letting them dry. It will be fun next year to see where he is at developmentally. The best part of our Easter was finding out that our heart buddy Mason received the transplanted heart he had been waiting for. It was an absolute Easter miracle made even sweeter by our knowledge of the Resurrection. We continue to pray for Mason as his road to recovery has been pretty rocky and he is currently dealing with rejection issues. Please keep their family in your prayers!
